Victims Helping Victims: Lions Protect Girl From Abductors
The lions come out looking far better than the humans in this story, about a group of lions that protected a girl who was kidnapped and beaten by members of her own species.
How do we thank these mighty and lion-hearted beasts? Here are some of the ways:
How do we thank these mighty and lion-hearted beasts? Here are some of the ways:
- We declaw them, isolate them, and keep them as exotic pets in cramped yards or basements.
- We use brutal training methods that include whipping and punching to make them perform unnatural Vaudeville-like tricks in the circus, and stuff them into cages and boxcars between shows.
- We hunt them in game ranches where they're fenced in and can't escape, so people can have the thrill of killing a lion.
- We shrink their natural habitat and decimate their population year by year.
